Interchangeable silver grey freshwater pearl necklace measuring 16 inches in length plus clasp, with steel fittings. These pearls are strung by hand in the traditional manner with a knot between each pearl so that should the necklace break after years of wear no more than one pearl will be lost. Knotting also creates a little distance between each pearl so that they are not rubbing against each other - undoubtedly best practice when stringing pearls or any other gemstone beads.

At 8.5-9.5mm round this is the smaller of our grey pearl necklaces. These pearls have a good, even lustre and are reasonably blemish free. They are more spherical than the bigger set and pair beautifully with clasps in gold, pink and purple tones. They are pictured here with a small gold cylinder clasp for a touch of elegance day or night.
